The New Apostolic Church (NAC) is besides the Protestant and Roman Catholic Church one of the largest religious communities in Germany. Worldwide it has about ten million members. In 2012, the NAC’s comprehensive textbook, entitled “Catechism of the New Apostolic Church”, was published for the first time. The NAC declares that they have again appointed apostles, who are necessary for salvation and to • become a child of God, • receive the forgiveness of sin and • be prepared for the return of Christ. In the book, written by Tobias Mai, the essential contents of the NAC’s doctrine have been examined in order to determine, whether these agree with the apostle doctrine, as handed down to us in the Holy Scripture. The biblical way of salvation is also explained in a comprehensible way.
